NBA Players of the Month For January 2014 Revealed

So the NBA announced the Players of the Month for January. The players that won was Kevin Durant for the Western Conference and Carmelo Anthony for the Eastern Conference. The two did amazing so far in 2014, and they are only looking to get better.

Now KD won the award because he downed 35.8 points per game, and scored 54 points in a win over the Golden State Warriors, led byPG  Stephen Curry, son of former star Dell Curry. He also had 48 points in a win over the Minnesota Timber wolves, led by star F/CKevin Love. He also got a sick triple-double over the Philadelphia 76ers with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. Watch out Russell, you might not be the best passer out there when you come back. He also was trying to set a record for most games in a row with over 30 points scored. He is also an obvious candidate for MVP, with competition from SF Paul George, on the Indiana Pacers, and superstar SF Lebron James, on the Miami Heat. Other candidates for this award were Kevin Love, on the Minnesota Timer Wolves. Lamarcus Aldridge, on the Portland Trail Blazers, and Terrence Jones, on the Houston Rockets. Durant will also start SF in the All Star Game in New Orleans, the home of the Pelicans.

Another player that was a beast was Carmelo Anthony, he led his team from a sluggish start, and even Melo-for-Griffin trade rumors around him, showed he dosent need and trade with a great month, pretending that the bad start never happened. He racked up 29 points against the Miami Heat, led by the big 3 (SF LeBron James, SG Dwayne Wade, and F/C Chris Bosh). He was gaurding the best SF in the NBA LeBron James, showing he deserved that reward, and oh boy, this dude did. He also racked up 29 against the Pheonix Suns, who were meant to suck, but have been hotter than the real sun. The Suns were led by PG Goran Dragic and SF Gerald Green, who went from scrub to star. He also got 64 points, a fanchise high for the Knicks, over the Bobcats, led by C Al Jefferson, and proved the Player of the Month was not going to Paul George.  Other candidates for this award were SG Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets.SF LeBron James, on the Miami Heat, and SF Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. Melo will also start PF in the All Star Game, hosted in New Orleans, the home of the Pelicans.

These two players played their hardest in January, and deserve this award. Much respect to these two stars, and hope they keep going hard.

Seahawks win Super Bowl XLVIII

On Sunday was a big day for the Seattle Seahawks. They played in the Super Bowl. They played great and came out with a victory. On the 2nd play of the game, Peyton Manning was not looking, the he missed the snap and forced a safety. Seattle 2 Denver 0. A few minutes later Steven Hauschka kicks a 31- yard field goal.Ten minutes later, Hauschka kicks another field goal, for 33 yard field goal. In the 2nd quarter, Marshawn Lynch got the first touchdown with a 1 yard run. Then a minute later, Malcolm Smith got a crazy 69-yard pick six to move the score to 22-0. Then it was halftime. Bruno Mars went crazy and did very well. I did not know he could play drums like a beast. Red Hot Chili Peppers did very fine too.

Now it is 2nd half time. On the kickoff to start the half, Percy Harvin got a 89 yard kick return touchdown. A few minutes later, Jermaine Kearse got a good touchdown pass from Russell Wilson for 29 yards. He was spinning like crazy. Then at the end of the 3rd, the Broncos do something with a short touchdown pass, and a 2 point conversion. Then the 3rd quarter ended as the score is Seattle 36 Broncos 8. The 4th quarter went very slow until Doug Baldwin got a short pass from Russell Wilson to create the final points of the game. The final score was Seattle 43 Denver8.

Malcolm Smith won Super Bowl MVP, with a great defensive performance. Now the Seahawks will have their first Lombardi Trophy. Once they came close when they had Sean Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck, but now, it is a whole nother ballgame

Big Brawl Tonight In Super Bowl XLVIII

Sorry fans, for the delay. I have been very busy with school. But today will be a big game for both teams. Today is Super Bowl XLVIII. The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks will go head to head in this big matchup.

Both teams have big strengths. The Seahawks have a great defense featuring Richard Sherman, at the Defensive Back spot, Earl Thomas III, at Free Safety, and Kam Chancellor, at the Strong Safety spot. The Broncos have a horrifying offense, with MVP Quarterback Peyton Manning.Halfback Knowshon Moreno, Wide Receivers, Eric Decker and Demarious Thomas. Both teams also are great on their other sides. With Seattle's' great offense, including Quarterback Russell Wilson, Halfback Marshawn Lynch, Fullback Derrick Coleman, oh and by the way, listen to his backstory. And their Wide Receivers Doug Baldwin and Percy Harvin. The Broncos defense is ranked 27th in the NFL without Linebacker Von Miller. So it will  be hard on the defensive game for Denver. But they still have DT Terrence Knighton.

I am a diehard Chiefs fan, so I despise the Denver Broncos. So I am rooting for Seattle. Who are you rooting for. Comment in the comments section.
